报告人简介:

Professor John Williams is a professor of Queen Mary, University of London. He is a member of Institution of Civil Engineers, UK;  a member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, UK; a fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, UK; and also a senior member of International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research.   Professor John Williams is a world famous expert in Computational Fluid Dynamics. He has completed 19 research projects with SERC, EPSRC and EU funds as Principle Investigator, and published over 200 journal papers. His efforts greatly promote the development of simulations for High-Reynolds Number Turbulence and Fluid Structure Interactions, as well as their applications in interdisciplinary fields.

约翰·威廉姆斯,英国伦敦大学玛丽皇后学院教授,英国注册土木工程师,英国注册水与环境管理师,英国数学及应用研究所会士,国际水利与环境工程学会(IAHR)资深会员,河海大学“河网水动力系统与安全学科创新引智基地”专家。主持完成了英国科学和工程研究理事会(SERC)、英国工程和物理科学研究理事会(EPSRC)和欧洲联盟(EU)的研究课题19项,发表高水平学术论文200余篇。威廉姆斯教授是世界著名的计算流体力学专家,自十九世纪八十年代起开展湍流大涡数值研究,是最早大涡模拟方法引入水利工程领域的科学家之一,参与发起英国湍流协会,在复杂边界高雷诺数湍流数值模拟、流固耦合数值模拟及其交叉学科应用等领域做出了杰出的贡献。
